Series One - Botanicals # 1-16
This series is inspired by the work of Karl Blossfeldt, created with color interpretations of black and white photographs of small plant forms, as well as color images taken with a macro lens. Increasing the scale of the plant forms and painting with an invented color scheme, gives these paintings a visceral sensation. They are presented as an anthology of organic forms that contain strong design elements in a decorative motif. All paintings are oil paint on Clay panels . Square framed paintings are 13.5" x 13.5" the rectangular framed paintings are 13.5” x 17.5”.

Series Two - Pollination # 17-28
The motif of these paintings combine realism and decorative design elements to create an intimate experiences with nature. Backyard birds and plant forms grace these paintings, some are imbued with faux gold, silver or copper leaf. All paintings are oil paint, on clay panel and framed 13.5" x 13.5".
